# Bridge to Base

Currently there are no native bridges for $MASQ from Polygon directly to Base - this will require bridging back to Ethereum using the official Polygon bridge at:\
<https://portal.polygon.technology>

## Prerequisites

* You need to have MASQ Tokens and ETH in your wallet to pay gas fees.
* Add Base Mainnet to your wallet (you can use [chainlist.org](https://chainlist.org) or details below)
* Add $MASQ Base contract to your Custom Tokens if required\

## Superbridge Guide

If you are new to Base, to interact with your bridged tokens you will need to bridge some ETH. (All gas fees are dramatically lower on Base chain)

1. Go to the Superbridge App <https://superbridge.app/base/masq>\
   (if the updated "v3" UI doesn't load you can use the v2 legacy site with exact same steps <https://v2.superbridge.app/base/masq> )
2. Connect your Ethereum wallet by clicking "Connect Wallet" and select the wallet you hold your MASQ tokens on the eth chain.
3. Enter the amount of MASQ you wish to bridge to Base.
4. Read and confirm all the confirmations and Click "Approve" button
5. Once approved, click "Deposit" button
6. Confirm the transaction in your Ethereum wallet. This will send your MASQ Tokens to the bridging contract.
7. Once the transaction has been confirmed, it will take around 2-3 mins for operation to be completed. You can view the status on the "Activity" banner button on bottom of screen.
8. When L2 confirmation is completed you will see your bridged MASQ tokens on the Base network in your wallet
9. For MASQ tokens to show in your wallet, add the [MASQ Base contract address](#prerequisites)

## Job Done!

You have successfully bridged your MASQ Tokens from Ethereum to Base and should now see your Base $MASQ tokens displayed in your wallet.
